Name : Tokonatsu YAMAMOTO Institute : ICRR U-TOKYO AC JP E-mail : tokonatu@icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp TITLE : Atmospheric Monitoring system for Telescope Array Experiment ABSTRACT : For the air fluorescence experiments, like Telescope Array and HiRes, we use the atmosphere as a part of detector. Atmosphere is something like a target, or light guide. In order to estimate the primary energy of cosmic rays, the measurement of the light transmittance in the atmosphere is essential point. For this reason, the atmospheric monitoring system is one of the most important calibration equipments in these experiments. We will report the current status of the development of the atmospheric monitor system. Based on the observational results with these detectors, we will discuss atmospheric monitor methods.
